The Wedding of Kate & Jaques
Bram Leigh Receptions, Croydon
~ Traditional ~

Kate and Jacques have been together for three years and they already have a daughter together. They wanted a traditional style wedding where their daughter could be included in the ceremony. They chose a garden wedding at a reception centre to celebrate with their family and friends.
Together we designed a ceremony that spoke of their relationship and incorporated a ring ceremony which included a bracelet and vows spoken to their daughter Taya.
The following are extracts from the Welcome Ceremony and the Ring Ceremony.
Welcome Ceremony
In 2003 a chance meeting turned into love. It's this love that has brought us here today. Kate's store was broken into and Jacques was sent as part of a security team to follow things up. Jacques felt an attraction to Kate and sourced her phone number. She however never received the text messages sent to her so therefore never responded. Again it was security guards to the rescue, friends of Jacques and a rose with the words 'Constantly thinking of you.'
And soon the first date was arranged.
Kate and Jacques have been together ever since. Kate feels proud to be Jacques' wife, she loves him and Jacques wants to seal the love he has for Kate with this ceremony. Both Jacques and Kate want to be parents and husband and wife.A family and a married couple.
So today let's celebrate two wonderful people and the love that they share. Let us celebrate the marriage of Jacques and Kate.
Ring Ceremony
Celebrant:Best man, what symbol do you have as a pledge of Jacques and Kate's vows?
Best man:
These rings.
Groom:
Kate, I give you this ring,
As a symbol of my love, trust and pride
that you are my wife.
Bride:
Jacques, I give you this ring,
As a symbol of my love, trust, and pride
that you are my Husband.
Celebrant:
Gold is a symbol of the sun, which creates and gives life.
The circles of the rings symbolise eternity, having neither beginning nor end.
Let these gold rings emanate warmth and life and be the symbol of the unity into which your lives are now joined in one unbroken circle.
Celebrant:
I now ask Taya to come forward.
Couple repeat after celebrant
Taya we give you this bracelet as a symbol of our love for you, we love you with all of our hearts.
Taya you are our little girl. You bring happiness and warmth into our lives.
We promise to talk and listen to you. We promise to always be there for you. Most of all we promise to love you.
