The Wedding of Kylie & Peter
Yarra River, Warburton
~ Alternative ~
|
Kylie and Peter are animal wranglers, training animals for television and movies. They wanted to incorporate their special dogs into the ceremony, as their dogs are a huge part of their life together. They live in the Yarra Valley and wanted a ceremony in the heart of the beautiful mountains that was relaxed, fun and friendly.
Through careful planning and rehearsal the dogs too participated in the ceremony. They were a part of the Giving Away Ceremony and "Trouble" even brought the rings in her special ring pouch. |

On the river bank of the beautiful Yarra the ceremony took place. A perfect haven along a Redwood Tree lined path gave Kylie and Peter that special touch to their perfect day.
The following are extracts from the Welcome Ceremony, Dog Poem and the Ring Ceremony.
Welcome Ceremony
On behalf of Kylie and Peter, family and friends I welcome you. And a very special welcome to Trouble, Gromit, Gidgit, and Coco, their dogs.
Today not only do we witness Kylie and Peter's marriage but it is an occasion for us all to give our love and support for a life of happiness together.
Unfortunately Angus also can't be here today but he's sent a wedding message in the form of a poem called;
Things we can learn from a dog
Kylie and Peter, run, romp and play daily.
When loved ones come home always run to greet them.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Be loyal... never pretend to be something you're not.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close and nuzzle them gently.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing. Run right back and be friends.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
Introduction
It is said, that love makes the world go round. However, without doubt, it is true friendship which provides the essentials for a happy life.Friendship is foundation on which to build an enduring relationship, it is the mortar which bonds us together in harmony, and it is the calm, warm protection we sometimes need.
True friendship nurtures our hopes, supports us in our disappointments, and encourages us to grow to our best potential. Kylie and Peter have grown together and they are best friends. They come together today, to pledge to each other not only their love, but also the strength, warmth and, most importantly, their true friendship.
